I want 'Desi Urban' to be an Official Genre of Music recognized by the world!

Ever wondered why 'Desi Urban' artists have no choice but to classify their music under Genres such as 'World' or 'Other' on Music & networking sites all over the internet?

Yeah, well I've been fighting this battle for a very long time and one day very soon this will change. For all my fellow artists reppin 'Desi Urban' music whether it a fusion of Hindi or Punjabi with Urban sounds, I think we need to come together on this push n really take this sound to the next level. Read about the history of Reggaeton for example.... its about time we REPRESENT!

Hey ya'll.. I am sure you all have, at some point, heard the adage "it takes two". Well, for every independent artist like myself it takes more lol .. well a lot more people than that.. :) n so I wanted to take this opportunity to show respect to everyone that has, over the years, supported me in my goal to take music to the next level and here are some of them...

I'm gonna start off my thanking my parents n sister the utmost.. its true. . their love n support is unbelievable.. God of course for always being such a huge part.. its like when I bigged up D-Boy for his production on the track 'Tu Bataja', he said "It's all from up above"...so true..the almighty has been extremely generous n kind to my family n I and I'm a faithful believer for life.

My extended family, that always encouraged me since the early age of 10 if I remember correctly.. especially my uncle (Chittah) who always wanted a 25% cut from everything I made.. he'd be one rich man if he was still around.. :( but the good news is that I'm gona be seeing them all real soon..Jan 5th baby.. :)

I wanna personally thank my dudes & dancers from the two bands I've performed with for sooo long.. n lost count of the number of shows we've rocked.. its been a blast and a HUGE learning experience.. names? k.. Arpit n Vic Shukla, Joe, Gerry, Joey, Suniel n the crew.. n ofcourse Karim, Amin, Vikas, Fatima, Shankar, Ali & Minjoo.. DJ Blaze.. n can't forget da beautiful ladies Falesha and Milly.. n Marina n Farrah I'm glad I was able to have ya'll in the Video for Sadaayein... Much love!

As for my click n cats that have helped my put this CRAZZZYYY Album together (haven't finalized the name yet...what u think of "No Boundaries"?) can't forget my Video Director, Dr Mo, my bro Heny, my Mixing Engineer Miles - the sickest dude I've ever worked with, my Mastering dude, Noah...(you've got ears of God brotha..!), my lyricists Pradyot & Rahul, all my fam that are featured on the record.. Hennesseyy, Roach Killa, Tona, Blitzkrieg, Skelitor, Joe Louis,Vik, Nikki (aka Neekita Nigam.. such an amazing singer!), Boi i-Da for doin a crazy Remix for "Deewana Tera", Omnesia for his remix work on "Rabba", my DJ - DJ Blaze, JT from the Dhol Foundation, Pama (for doin some tracking for me), my Manager Victor, Roger for playing bass on 'Kasam Se' & 'Mennu Keh Gayi', Gerry for playing Bass on 'Kahe Barse', my vocal teacher Mahesh Mulwani, Amin for all the photoshoots... n my inspirations - Sonu Nigam above all, Timbaland, Polow, Scott Storch, Kanye, JT, A.R. Rahman, Just Blaze, ...umm hope i didn't miss anyone... !?!

Also all my peeps at Dell & Infotech.. All my Ex's for the million songs ive played them asking for feedback n bla bla.. u all put up with it real well.. cuz ya'll knew u had found a diamond lol jokess..

First Blog Post ever!

Wussup people.. I thought it would be a good idea to start blogging since everyone's been tellin me about this for a while now and that it is bla bla bla.. lol..

I will try to post as often as possible... right now, im just checkin my youtube,  myspace, facebook n email before i head out to crash (its close to 3 in the morning)..gotsta wake up early tom & head out for a show in Ottawa..
